Fuji Xerox launches new series of multifunction devices with solutions designed for the Cloud and mobile working era

Introducing the new ApeosPort-IV series, designed for greater productivity and environmental friendliness to suit today's work styles

Hong Kong, January 12, 2012 – Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. is sequentially launching*1 13 new products, including 11*2 full-color digital multifunction devices for office use – the ApeosPort-IV C and DocuCentre-IV C series  – and two digital multifunction device models*3 for monochrome, part of the ApeosPort-IV series. All 13 models feature the latest common controller software to provide advanced features that deliver user-friendliness, convenience and environmental sustainability, making them perfectly suited to the most modern workplaces.

Environmental performance that balances energy conservation with ease of use

All of the new models feature Fuji Xerox's proprietary Smart Energy Management Technology. The technology saves energy by only distributing power to areas actually required for a given operation when a device switches out of its low-energy 'sleep' mode, e.g. the scanning unit, control panel, output unit or controller.

The nine models in the full-color digital multifunction device series (ApeosPort-IV C5575/C4475/C3375/C3373/C2275 and DocuCentre-IV C5575/C4475/C3375/C3373) are the first to feature Fuji Xerox's proprietary motion sensor technology, 'Smart WelcomEyes'. This technology uses two motion sensors that automatically switch the device out of sleep mode when a user approaches. Coupled with the IH fusing technology that has the world's fastest*4 startup time of just three seconds, the devices allow users to make copies or carry out other operations with virtually zero waiting time.

Advanced functions for greater user convenience

The devices*5 can also scan and convert hardcopies into editable Word® or Excel® files*6,streamlining business operations by reducing the need for manual text input, diagram drawing and other tasks on existing hardcopy documents.

Enabling work styles that fit perfectly with cloud computing, mobile working and a huge range of applications

With the Google Cloud Print function, these new devices offer users of AndroidTM devices and iOS devices such as the iPad™, iPhone® and iPod touch®, a simple and mobile print environment.  Users can enjoy this function without having to install printer drivers and can also use the Print Utility of iOS and Android devices to print Web pages, .pdf and DocuWorks format documents and photos directly from their devices.

Reliable printing, even at high volumes

The two models of digital multifunction monochrome devices*3 – the ApeosPort-IV 7080 and 6080 – boast copy and print speed of 75/65 pages per minute (ppm), offering high standards of speed and productivity. Both models can also deliver high resolution output of up to 1,200 dpi. Users have the option to choose between Image mode or other settings such as Text mode for faster copy output.

Efficient performance with compact size: perfect for SMEs

Two of the new full-color digital multifunction devices, the DocuCentre-IV C2265 and C2263, were designed for the needs of SMEs. Their compact physical size, coupled with comprehensive and high-productivity features are perfect for small businesses. Both devices support print speeds of up to 25ppm and offer fast scanning speeds of 55ipm for workspace – a winning combination.
